Sean and I decided to celebrate Logan's birthday a few days early since we will not be together on Saturday. Thus yesterday, we headed to Hollywood Studios in the morning while visiting Animal Kingdom in the afternoon. I completely forgot both cameras (of course), but atlas we took one shot with our phone to preserve the memory. Here we are holding up the 'Happy Birthday' celebration pin for Logan by the entrance to Hollywood Studios.
It was a pretty quiet, breezy, and relaxing day. Since it was a Monday, both parks were considerably empty. We finally rode Toy Story Mania which was TOTALLY worth the wait of 20 minutes despite the board outside reading 65 minutes. In fact, we cannot wait to ride it again soon. We caught the Little Mermaid and Indiana Jones shows, while ending Hollywood Studios with each of us riding the Tower of Terror. Another fantastic ride. What would happen in that ride if there were no seat belts?
Over at Animal Kingdom, we made a beeline to the Festival of the Lion King. We missed seeing this show with my father and Marilyn on our first trip, and boy was that a regret! The show was FABULOUS. By far, the high caliber you come to expect from Disney. We have a particular soft spot for the Lion King in our house as I own the soundtrack from my youth and it is always one of the CDs in our car stereo. 'Mom. I wanna listen to the Lion King, Palease' is often heard seconds after we enter the vehicle. But I digress. I can neither confirm nor deny tears streaming down my face while watching Gavin sing to the familiar music. After the show, we rode the Kilimanjaro Safari for the second time. As most of the animals were absent this time around, the highlight of the ride was popping a right rear tire. We waited about 6 minutes in front of the elephant area (which in ride time is equivalent to hours) only to drive on once we were cleared for safety. Finally, we ended the day's adventures with 'It's Tough to be a Bug' 4D experience.
Happy Pre-Birthday 'Little Man' Logan!

I really need to get the Lion King movie and music. That is such a good show and i think Delson would love it. I want him to sing it like Gavin does. That is adorable!
