Mickey's Jungle with Grandma, Grandpa, and Grams

The day that Gavin had long awaited had arrived! Mickey's Jungle with his grandparents was a dream come true. We decided to go to Animal Kingdom this time around and had a fabulous time. It was a little toasty and the sun was out in full glory.

Once inside the park, we made a beeline to the Festival of the Lion King. Watching my sons engrossed in the production still moves me to a tear or two.

Immediately after we made another beeline for the Kilimanjaro Safari. We were happy to report lots of animal sightings and no flat tires this time.

Steve, Sean, Jeana, Gavin and I braved the Kali River Rapids after lunch. We were extra excited since Gavin was now tall enough to ride. We thought it might be nice to get a little wet since it was so warm that day. Well guess which two riders got soaked? The river gushed right in between Gavin and I. He was a little shocked but bounced back with a smile.

And like magic, Gavin was instantly changed into dry clothes! Meanwhile, I was still damp six hours later once we were home.

Our boys were in heaven the whole day!

Late in the afternoon, the boys relaxed in the Boneyard digging for fossils.

And then it was back to playing. You will never meet a more cautious slider than Logan. He loves to slide but at his own pace. He's a discerning child already.
