A Visit to Lake Alice

Once home from the airport, we took a family field trip over to campus to visit Lake Alice. The lake is home to the university's mascot as well as the natural Florida landscape. The weather was nice and not too hot in the afternoon.

Along with gators, there were plenty of turtles and fish to watch swimming around.

Logan was apparently camera shy for this shot.

What's everyone looking at over there?

Goooooooo Gators!

Our friendly gator was missing his front right foot so we thought we were safe.

Then he easily scaled the lake side and we quickly left him behind.

okay seriously, we've gone to lake alice 2 dozen-ish times; in that time we've never had an alligator open its mouth on us, and we've CERTAINLY never had it jump onto the shore. You guys are INCREDIBLE! Tell your family they were definitely fantastic gator bait. :)
