Take Me Out to the Ball Game...

We went to our family's first (and last of this season) Braves game this past Saturday. Oh man, what a great time! The boys exceeded our expectations and actually were very involved with the game's activities. Despite getting creamed the night before by the Mets, the Braves won the game with the only run scored. This afternoon game even concluded with a Coca-Cola Summer Concert featuring Styx. America's favorite pastime with the boys and a free classic rock concert. Sa-weet!

Gavin loved finding the players' pictures based on their jersey number projected on the jumbo-tron. He would then proceed to 'read' the information about them.

No baseball game is complete without a hotdog. Here was Sean's masterpiece.

The boys and I split one, but I have to admit my annual hotdog was pretty tasty. Maybe next time I will not share.

Logan even enjoyed his dinner, and I daresay it might even be his first hotdog.

Logan was not accustomed to all the noise from the crowd in the beginning which caused flashbacks of Gavin's first BYU basketball game. Except Gavin never stopped screaming and everyone thought my child was dying. Here Logan warmed up after an inning or two and learned to love the game.

Logan even happily learned the tomahawk chop!

Gavin could not believe there was a Chick-a-Fila cow on top of the stadium (to the left of Delta). 'That's so silly, Mom."

Gavin's self portrait during the game.

Here is a shot at the start of the concert. Once the game was over, you could move around freely so we found some friends from PTC to rock out with.

Gavin and Logan's first (classic) rock concert. Will they even know who Styx is when they grow up? Maybe with a little luck from their parents.

No matter. They both had a rockin' good time.
