It all began in Chesapeake.

One hour after Sean finished his last final, we were loaded and ready to start our Miner Road Trip, commonly known as MRT.  Okay, we do not really refer to the trip as MRT but it was such a great trip that it deserves an awesome nickname.  Put on your thinking caps, please.

Our first stop was almost 650 miles later in the beautiful waterfront city of Chesapeake, Virginia.  A lovely woman, we will call her Marilyn, lives in a gorgeous house on the water and just so happens to be a lovely lady in my father's life.  She was sweet enough to house our family for the extended weekend and even host THE party of the year.

Here is the lovely hostess and the grill/crab master of the night.
Oh, and the youngest attendee of the party happily sits on grandpa's lap.

This is Marilyn's sweet neighbor Linda who just adored my son.  So naturally I just adored her.
Plus she took the group picture below on a ladder up very high, so I wanted to include her.

Our attempt of a group picture.  I say attempt because we are missing about 10 people for various reasons.
Someone is always in the bathroom, eating in the kitchen, taking the picture, etc.

Minus my cousin Scott, this party was a Forbes family reunion of sorts.  It has been almost three or four years since we last saw my father's side of the family.  The two bald men are brothers, the cute gal in the blue shirt is my Aunt Linda, and the adorable family belongs to my cousin Nickie.

A moment of socializing captured.

Speaking of moments captured, here is a series of shots of the only Forbes great grandchildren.
All boys and ranging from 4 years to 5 months.
Notice how not one of them can really focus on the camera.
There are a bunch of adults trying to get their attention and keep them happy as possible.
And apparently, I enjoy dressing my sons in blue and white stripes.

Notice the two year olds on the far sides are trying to escape as soon as possible.

And only the obedient 4 year old and 5 month old who cannot move yet anyway remain.

And the night was complete once the sparklers and fireworks emerged.
