Peachtree City, GA: Happy 2nd Birthday Logan!

After Grams flew in Saturday morning for some partying, we celebrated Logan's 2nd birthday.  The whole day ended up being wonderful; gorgeous weather, delicious food, and happiness all around.  Since we pre-celebrated with family back in Utah and Logan is still too young to know better, we kept his birthday really, really low key.  I do not have my mother-in-law and cousin's talent for cakes, but the cake I made sure made the boys happy. Sean even gave me props for the delicious frosting.  Sounds like success, nevertheless.

Since the weather was so nice, we decided to have a picnic alongside the grill.  Sean threw on some hamburgers while we had a pudding fruit salad and chips & salsa.  I got this fruit salad recipe from a good friend a few years back who said it was taste good on anything even cardboard.  And she is 100% correct.

Then the birthday boy received a couple gifts.  Sean and I have never seen Logan, or Gavin for that matter, so animated about opening cards and presents.  This kid was so giddy and squealing with delight. We were in heaven!  Papa Forbes gifted Logan a Pingu stuffed animal, which I am sure 99% of you have never heard of.  Pingu is this Swedish claymated television series we stumbled upon thanks to Netlfix one day a year ago.  They do not talk during the show and only make sounds which is right up Logan's alley.  Pingu's signature sound is "Nug, Nug! which Logan and Gavin love to emulate.  It will be one of those treasured memories from their childhood we will always remember.

Just look at all this happiness (thanks to Instagram!)

Grams gifted Logan this sweet pedal car that he could not believe was his.  Both boys were so excited to try it out, but the birthday boy got his turn first.

So much glee!

After some naps, it was finally time for cake.

Our baby is two, and we love him.
He is sweet and sensitive and shy and silly.

Happy 2nd Birthday Logan!
