Last week the boys and I spent five days without Sean, but we knew he was off having fun. Sean helped led a group of young men from our church (ages 14-18) on a 50 mile hike through the Chattooga Wilderness spread across South Carolina, North Carolina, and Georgia. Really, it turned into a 59 mile adventure with 39 miles of hiking and 20 miles of rafting and canoeing. Each hiker had to pack everything with food included that they needed for the entire week and carry it on their backs. I really wanted to tag along and take pictures for the group until I tried on Sean's finished backpack. It was so heavy!
Sean mentioned the area was so pretty and this is evidence he does not lie.

He was all smiles when he got home and said he had such a good time hiking with the boys. The adventure had some highs and lows, but ultimately he was so happy to spend a week in the woods. He said he was practicing for when he takes Gavin and Logan on their own overnight hikes!
(We were given a copy of every picture taken on the hike which totaled to 236 from one leader's camera. That is so impressive for a group of men roughing it out in the woods.)
