The next stop on our holiday road trip was Harrisburg, Pennsylvania to visit Grandma Forbes. And you will never believe who stopped by the night we arrived? Kris Kringle himself! We had to pull some strings and might end up getting coal in our stockings next year, but Santa made a special delivery after Christmas. If practice makes perfect, then my boys have perfected the art of Christmas morning. I hope our boys know one day just how much all their grandparents love them-no matter the distance.
Here's Gavin admiring the festive scene. Too bad there is nothing under the tree for him!

Logan is in between loving-the-wrapping and loving-the-present stage.

Logan is also learning to share his gifts at a very early age.

Oh man, what little boy does not dream of becoming a firefighter!

We can thank grandma later for the very loud, very sweet sounding siren.

Gavin had to check himself out. Hey look, a glimpse of me!

After all the gifts were exchanged, it was finally play time!
Logan's toy of choice happened to be the door jam stopper. Delightful!
Meanwhile his children starve-but clearly not from love.
It was such a delight to recreate Christmas all over again with my mother. We loved spending time with her this holiday season. We are truly blessed to have amazing parents fill our life and the lives of our children.
