A Tour of the City

We started our walking tour right after a scrumptious lunch at Mee Noodle Shop over on 9th Avenue. It was fast, cheap chinese food with outstanding service; and the establishment had a clean grade of A. Completely worth it.

Our first stop was the Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts...

...which unknowingly was right next door to this beauty.

The end-of-year blizzard had hit New York a couple days prior to our visit and dumped snow all over the city.

Poor fellow will have to wait until spring to see his car again.

Next we headed east to Central Park and passed the Dakota apartment building on our way. The building has housed some famous residents in its day, but is widely known for the assassination of John Lennon.

Walking into the park, I caught a glimpse of the urban landscape and fell in love.

There is an area dedicated as Strawberry Fields just across the street from the Dakota.

Soaking in all the sights and smells of the park.

I packed the most ridiculous shoes for city walking in the snow so there was no way I was going down there. A landscape shot worked for me.

A quick shot with our beloved tour guide and friend as we trekked to the south end of the park.
(Look at that fill-in flash, Vanessa. I thought you would be proud.)

We loved people-watching in the park.

And here's a shot for the younger crowd.

Our next stop was underground to the subway.

We were headed south to Union Square. I had a short love affair with the market at Union Square so I forgot to snap a picture or two. Please imagine a classy street market filled with fresh goods and goodies.

Rockin' the maiden name.

Adam then nostalgically walked us by a building his family recently sold their property in.

We finished the south end of the tour with a quick look at NYU.

Fast forwarding near Rockefeller Center now.

While the men waited for me, Saks Fifth Avenue across the street put on a light and sound show on their building called 'The Snowflake and the Bubble.' Sean stepped behind the camera for this one with his phone...

...while I snapped a quick picture of this famous tree.
We then ran as fast as we could from all the crowds. Okay, no exactly but it was time for dinner and a show anyway.
