Gator Football

Sorry for the delay on this post. The game was over a month ago. These pictures were taken on the point and shoot, and I have been lazy about copying them to the computer.

The stars were aligned one night for me to attend a football game! Translation: The Gators had a home game on a Saturday night on a weekend Marilyn happened to be visiting my father and they were not already busy during the one and only season Sean would be a UF student. Phew! Again, the stars were aligned.

Needless to say I was excited to see what Gator football was like. I had heard that college football in the South is like a religion, and I did not hear wrong. We showed up early on campus to walk about the tailgating. Not really ones to participate in this tradition, we loved however admiring the different huddles of people. Gator football is indeed a religion to many of these fans and you could not help but feel the pride oozing. Only two colors on earth exist during on Game Day (maybe three if you count white, but they again white is not really a color, right? Whoa, tangent.)

What a fantastic night! The crowd's attendance was recorded at 90,541 people. That's unreal! We had awesome, no amazing seats with Sean's MBA cohort. And in true Kristen fashion, the camera's batteries die like two minutes once inside the stadium. Oh well, we still preserved the memory even if one or two shots were blurry. A big thanks to Papa and Marilyn for watching our boys while we attended the game.

We loved seeing a gigantic flat screen TV built into a trailer with a generator masked for noise while a grill master was working his magic on the other end of the trailer cooking an insane amount of protein.
(Not pictured here but you get the point)

The Swamp. It appeared like every seat was full.

Our blurry memory preserved for posterity.
